In 2025, I captured my very first engagement session.

It felt unreal.

I’d been told so many times to make a go of photography—but I always doubted myself.

Then I was asked if I could photograph their wedding in 2026.

I was hesitant. The self-doubt was loud.

But with a lot of encouragement from my husband and family… I said yes.

And I did it.

And I loved every single moment.

I loved being able to capture something that could take people straight back to that exact point in time—to relive the feeling, the emotion, the little in-between moments.

I loved seeing people’s faces light up when I turned the camera around, that tiny screen holding a moment I knew would be treasured forever.

That’s when it clicked.

This wasn’t just something I enjoyed.

This was something I was meant to do.

The chapters before...

I grew up in the small country town of Mandurama, on what felt like a big farm at the time — 50 acres filled with dogs, chickens, horses, sheep, and a couple of cows.

Most of my childhood and teenage years revolved around horses. Pony club, team penning, shows, and riding every single day with my sisters and our close friends. When we weren’t in the saddle, we were out in the paddocks with the “good” camera, taking photos of the horses—and of each other.

If I wasn’t riding or at school, I was alongside Dad, helping with whatever he had going on. That could mean fencing, working on his never-ending project cars, welding, renovating the house, or cooking a barbecue.

I always loved the outdoors and had a strong interest in agriculture at school—but my fascination with Dad’s project cars led me to start a mechanical apprenticeship. After about 18 months, I realised it wasn’t the right fit for me.

In 2019, I moved to Parkes and tried a few different jobs, but nothing really clicked. Then in 2020, I found what felt like the missing puzzle piece—working on a small farm along the Lachlan River. That’s where I learned about irrigation, cattle, cropping, and hay production, and everything started to fall into place.

In 2021, while completing my Certificate III in Agriculture at TAFE, I got to know Hayden—now my husband.

By 2022, I was gaining experience in larger-scale agriculture, operating articulated tractors, headers, air seeders, and spray units.

In 2023, I began my Diploma in Agriculture—and Hayden and I got engaged!

2024 was amazing! We got married, and later that year, found out we were expecting.

In 2025, we welcomed our wild little boy into the world, and I completed my Diploma in Agriculture.

At the start of 2026, I decided it was time to return to work and found a job that fit perfectly into our routine. But I also realised I needed something just for me.

And that’s where this next chapter begins.
